We meet the 1st\, 3rd\, and 5th Thursdays of the month from 9:30-11:30 am September-June. We have playdates in the gym on the 2nd Thursday of the month\, starting in October. Playdates are open to all whether you are attending Sunset Moms or not. \nSunset Moms: The Details \nWe are a group of moms who gather a couple times a month to hear from a speaker\, talk and pray with one another and eat some food with free hands.  We want you to come in whatever state you are in — tired\, showered (or not)\, happy or heavy hearted.  There is a place for you at the table.  We sit at tables with moms older and younger to support and encourage every mom who walks in the door. (We hope that includes you!). \nLEARN MORE AND REGISTER \nWe offer childcare for birth-5 years old and have a room for homeschool kids next to where we meet.

DESCRIPTION:In honor of AAPI Heritage Month\, Yukiko Flennaugh of Sunset’s Racial Justice Ministry will share her father’s story of his childhood years spent incarcerated.  \nDuring WWII\, Japanese Americans were incarcerated in internment camps in the United States. John Nakada spent three years behind the barbed wire fence of these camps. Yukiko will share details of her father and the family from these times. \nThe presentation will be held in the Fireside Room (West lobby area). \n

SUMMARY:Colson Fellows Program: Informational Meetings
DESCRIPTION:The first Colson Fellows Program class here at Sunset Church will conclude in May 2024 and it has been well received by those enrolled in its first year. It can be seen as a next step beyond attending the Alpha program. This 10-month program will be offered again starting in July\, going through April 2025. It entails single interactive meetings on the second Saturday of each month\, a comprehensive reading component along with online webinars\, Bible Project materials\, and much more. Since it is 10 months in duration\, it has a tuition cost which means advance planning for meaningful participation is indicated by each participant. \nAt informational meetings immediately after the worship services on April 28\, May 26\, and June 9\, Colson Fellows will be sharing their experience with this program which has been a great opportunity to delve deeply into the Christian worldview\, particularly given what has been happening with and around our culture within the last few years. \nThe enrollment period is now open and will stay open until July 1\, 2024. Contact Larry Brisbee for enrollment information.  \nBrochures will be available at the Next Steps counter with more information along with the informational meetings scheduled as mentioned above. \nInformational meetings will be held in Conference Room 2 (West lobby). \n
