DESCRIPTION:How do we use what we have been given to bless others?  \nCome join the Racial Justice Ministry for six weeks of exploring the concept of privilege throughout the Bible with the book Subversive Witness: Scripture’s Guide to Leveraging Privilege by Dominique Gillard. Each week is a stand-alone class\, so feel free to come to one or all six. \nJanuary 28 – Pharaoh’s Daughter | February 4 – Esther | February 11 – Moses | February 18 – Paul & Silas | February 25 – Jesus | March 3 – Zacchaeus \nTo be subversive is to disrupt\, agitate\, disobey\, challenge\, or undermine an established system. Gillard explains that privilege is not rooted in condemnation\, nor used to shame or guilt. He states in his book\, “When privilege is understood missionally and our lives are guided by the Spirit\, it becomes a subversive tool we can leverage to further the kingdom and sacrificially love our neighbors.” \nSnacks will be provided and books will be available for purchase.  \nWe are meeting up in the Student Center. DESCRIPTION:Sunset Moms: The Essentials \nThere will be breakfast. There will be childcare.  There will be community. We meet the 1st\, 3rd\, and 5th Thursdays of the month from 9:30-11:30 am September-June. We have playdates in the gym on the 2nd Thursday of the month\, starting in October. Playdates are open to all whether you are attending Sunset Moms or not. \nSunset Moms: The Details \nWe are a group of moms who gather a couple times a month to hear from a speaker\, talk and pray with one another and eat some food with free hands.  We want you to come in whatever state you are in — tired\, showered (or not)\, happy or heavy hearted.  There is a place for you at the table.  We sit at tables with moms older and younger to support and encourage every mom who walks in the door. (We hope that includes you!). \nLEARN MORE AND REGISTER \nWe offer childcare for birth-5 years old and have a room for homeschool kids next to where we meet.

DESCRIPTION:How do we use what we have been given to bless others?  \nCome join the Racial Justice Ministry for six weeks of exploring the concept of privilege throughout the Bible with the book Subversive Witness: Scripture’s Guide to Leveraging Privilege by Dominique Gillard. Each week is a stand-alone class\, so feel free to come to one or all six. \nJanuary 28 – Pharaoh’s Daughter | February 4 – Esther | February 11 – Moses | February 18 – Paul & Silas | February 25 – Jesus | March 3 – Zacchaeus \nTo be subversive is to disrupt\, agitate\, disobey\, challenge\, or undermine an established system. Gillard explains that privilege is not rooted in condemnation\, nor used to shame or guilt. He states in his book\, “When privilege is understood missionally and our lives are guided by the Spirit\, it becomes a subversive tool we can leverage to further the kingdom and sacrificially love our neighbors.” \nSnacks will be provided and books will be available for purchase.  \nWe are meeting up in the Student Center.
