Uganda

Dr. Val, with her husband Waffle, serve the Karamoja and Teso tribes (together with CLIDE Consultancy which Dr. Val founded and continues to advise). They use their skills to develop relationships in tribal communities, which then allows them opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus. Ministries include livestock health training, herbal veterinary medicine, livestock revolving loans, peace villages, church planting, child sponsorship, and work-for-food in times of famine. Guiding and encouraging new believers, Dr. Val and Waffle are baptizing former warriors and training pastors and elders for their growing, young churches.

A Good News Story

Little Loyolo was barely surviving with his grandmother in a Karamoja village. His father was arrested for raiding cattle, so he had not seen him for over a year. The Lomilos began a church under a tree in his village. Loyolo was instantly attracted to the singing and joy of the new believers. He soon gave his life to Jesus. Dr. Val and Waffle visited Loyolo’s father in prison and encouraged him until he was released. On his first Sunday back in his village, he joined Loyolo in the village church choir, then knelt on the ground in repentance, turning his life over to Jesus! Pray for them and the other gold miners in the five fledgling churches; may they seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.
