Trailblazing the Amari: Fresh Insights from South Asia
Sunday, July 12, 11:30 am-12:30 pm, Fireside Room

Sunset is stepping onto new paths of ministry, and we want you to be part of the journey! Dave & Mary Camp recently returned from a scouting trip, and they are ready to share a firsthand look at what God is doing among the Amari — one of the new unreached people groups Sunset is coming alongside. Join us to hear the raw stories, strategic insights, and next steps for how we can be a part of what God is doing! As we move forward with both our new and long-standing Global Partners, don’t miss this chance to move from the sidelines to the front lines of global impact. Chai and snacks provided!

Serve With Us: Sunday Morning Coffee!

Coffee has a way of bringing people together, and we’d love for you to help make Sundays feel warm and welcoming at Sunset. Sunset’s Coffee Team is looking for a few new people to serve one Sunday each month. You’ll partner with another volunteer to either set up before service (around 9 am) or help clean up after church (until approximately 12:15 pm). Whether you’re serving as a couple, on your own, or with older kids, it’s a great opportunity to connect with others while serving the church community. No experience is needed, and training is provided! If you have any questions or want to serve, please contact Stacey Hillier at (503)515-6255 or hillierfam@msn.com.

Black History Walking Tour
Saturday, July 25, 10 am-12 pm, Matt Dishman Community Center

Oregon Black Pioneers’ popular walking tours are a great way to experience local history. Led by a member of the Oregon Black Pioneers team, this two-hour, 2-mile walking loop will make stops at locations connected to the Albina area’s Black history. Themes will include Black-owned businesses, community change, and civil rights. All adults and high school/middle school students are welcome to register. We only have 20 spots available, so please register to secure your spot soon.

Project Homeless Connect Event
Friday, July 24, 9 am-3 pm

Sunset Church is hosting a connection event in partnership with Project Homeless Connect again! This one-day event helps provide extensive, critical services and resources for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability in our area. We need a few volunteers to come together and serve. The event lasts for most of the day, but those who are serving are welcome to stay for a portion of the day according to their availability.

SUMR Youth
Wednesdays, June 24-August 12, 6:30-8:30 pm

Incoming 6th–12th graders are invited to join us for SUMR Youth on Wednesday nights! We’ll spend the evening hanging out, sharing a meal, watching and discussing Alpha Youth videos, and serving together by sorting clothes for the Clothes Closet.
