Racial Justice
About Racial Justice
“…do justice…love kindness…walk humbly with God.” Micah 6:8
The mission of Sunset’s Racial Justice ministry is biblically-grounded racial reconciliation.
We focus on facilitating conversations about race. We encourage others to enter these conversations with love and empathy. Our goal is to help build unity within the body of Christ, listening to perspectives different from our own with the goal of understanding others.
Currently, we are:
- Listening, learning, and discussing. (Books, podcasts, documentaries.)
- Facilitating conversations and bringing awareness through our classes, experiences, and small group discussions.
- Intentionally growing relationships to walk alongside others in a journey toward ethnic, cultural, and racial harmony.
Reconciliation Sermon
Markus Lloyd, founder of Threaded, gave a powerful word at Sunset Church about reconciliation.

Because Micah 6:8 is the foundational verse for the Racial Justice ministry, we encourage you to explore God’s desire for his people to reflect his justice, kindness, and humility with this one-lesson study of Micah 6:1-8 — appropriate for individuals or small groups.
