Helping Hands is Here for Our Community
As we head into November, Helping Hands is preparing for more families seeking food assistance as SNAP benefits run out. Sunset provides food to anyone in need through the Food Pantry, and you can join us in serving those in our community.
You can help by giving online (select Helping Hands from the dropdown menu) or by donating canned meat, hearty soups, canned fruit, and boxed meals. Thank you for helping us share God’s love in practical ways this season!
Christmas Outreach
Operation Christmas Child Boxes Due November 16
This Christmas, we’re partnering with two wonderful organizations to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our neighborhood and around the world. Individuals, families, and small groups are able to engage with these partners to share the love of Christ in our world through service! Our current focus is on Operation Christmas Child! Boxes are available in the Sunset Kids ministry now – along with instructions to take them home and fill the boxes with gifts. All boxes should be returned by November 16.
Night to Shine

Night to Shine is an unforgettable worldwide celebration event, centered on God’s love, honoring and valuing people with special needs. On one night, hundreds of churches of different denominations from all over the world will come together to celebrate people with special needs! Both guest and volunteer registrations are open NOW!
Annual Members Meeting
Sunday, November 23, After Service
Sunset Church members are invited to join us at our upcoming Annual Members Meeting! We’ll celebrate what God has done over the last fiscal year, review the budget, and hear where God has been moving in and through the church. The annual report will be available online soon, and we’ll also have limited printed copies available closer to the meeting date.
Financial Discussion Meeting

All are welcome to join this meeting! We’ll share updates on the church’s finances and budget plans ahead of the Annual Members Meeting, and we’ll answer any questions you may have.
Baptisms
Sunday, November 9
Baptisms are a celebration at Sunset Church, and we’re excited to have another set of baptisms in early November! If you’re interested in being baptized and proclaiming your faith in this way, please let us know. Instead of a Baptism Class, Pastor Steve will arrange a meeting with those who register.
Grounded in Gratitude
Saturday, November 15, 11 am-1 pm, Student Center
Before the holidays, take time to be refreshed. Grounded in Gratitude is a gathering for women to connect and reflect on what God says about gratitude and generosity! We invite you to come enjoy delicious food, fresh ideas, and warm community as we’re inspired to weave gratitude into our daily lives — no matter what. $10 per person — seating is limited, and registration closes Sunday, November 9.
International Potluck
Sunday, November 16, 11:30 am, Student Center
Join us for a potluck lunch to celebrate Sunset’s diverse cultures. All international friends are invited, and some will share their Good News Stories. Please bring a dish to share, and we’ll provide beverages. If your food needs to be kept hot or cold, please bring it to the kitchen from 9:30-10:15 am. Questions? Save the Date: Women's Retreat
April 11-12
We’re excited to announce that we’ll have a Women’s Retreat in 2026! This is for ALL women, and it’ll be a great time together at Canby Grove Christian Center. More information will be available in January, but mark your calendars!

We can’t wait to have Kids Camp again next summer! This camp is for children who are 4 years old through 5th grade as of next fall. More details & registration will be available in spring 2026.
