Alan & Debbie
Southeast Asia
Alan & Debbie are national workers, serving over 10 years among the Miga in SE Asia. Alan is the team leader, where he is discipling fishermen. Alan has a powerful gift of sharing the Hope of Jesus. Debbie integrates healthcare with spiritual care through home visits—monitoring vitals while sharing God’s Word and prayer.
Debbie is also instrumental in translating Scripture stories into Miga-contextualized language. Both Alan & Debbie lead Discovery Bible studies and mentor new Miga believers to disciple others. Together, they cast vision for the overall team and provide essential cross-cultural guidance for the next generation.
A Good News Story
In a small coastal village, coconut trees rise above bamboo homes, mangroves, and fishing nets. Children run along the shoreline while women cook rice and fish over open fires. Several fishermen were baptized just a few months ago. Life is still hard, and each day brings real struggle. Yet their faces now carry a different kind of strength: the steady hope of knowing that a good God loves them.
We now regularly share meals, open God’s Word, and reflect together on what it means to abide in Jesus. These new believers speak with deep joy and conviction. They want to share this fruit with others in the nearby villages, so their people can know the hope, love, and new life they have found in Christ.
