Ash Wednesday

We can’t wait to celebrate Easter with you this year on April 20! And right now, we invite you into the season of Lent with us, which is the 40 days (minus Sundays) before Easter — a season set apart to prepare our hearts for the death and resurrection of Jesus. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, which is March 5 this year, and we have a couple of ways you can participate with us.

Receiving Ashes, 7 am-6 pm, Church Office
No matter where you go on Ash Wednesday, receiving and wearing ashes on our foreheads serves as a humble act of confessing our sins and receiving God’s forgiveness. Visit the church office any time from 7 am-6 pm, and you can receive ashes on your forehead from one of our pastors.

Ash Wednesday Service, 12:15-12:45 pm, Sanctuary Lobby
We’re also hosting a short Ash Wednesday service where Pastor Steve will give an intro into about Lent and Ash Wednesday, focusing on confessing our sins, proclaiming God’s forgiveness, and administering ash while singing a couple songs.
